Graduate Visa: Post-Vocational Education Work Stream (485)

The Graduate visa (485) allows overseas students who have completed one or more associate degrees (two-year program), diplomas or trade qualifications in Australia to live and work in Australia on a temporary basis.

A visa granted in the Work Stream is valid for 18 months.

Work Stream Requirements

At the time that you lodge your visa application, you must:

• in the last 6 months have completed one or more associate degrees, diplomas or trade qualifications, following at least 2 years of study in Australia
• Be under 35 years of age
• Have Competent English
• Have made adequate arrangements for health insurance during your stay in Australia
• Have applied for a Graduate Skill Assessment (GSA)

After working in Australia, you may be eligible to transition to other visa options.
